First Time Hider

Post  bobbiejo on Mon Feb 16, 2009 2:51 pm

ok. finally got some hides ready to go and now i need to find some places. been keeping my eye out for old cemeteries since these seem the easiest to hide. also looking for some somewhat bare areas (not many geocaches) to help populate the area. anything i need to know about hiding a cache other than what geocaching.com has on it's site?

I know it is a little late for an answer now but I just wanted to say to make sure that you check the G.C. rules every now and then just to make sure there has not been any changes. Also make sure to put information in the section that is for notes for the reviewer, the more you can give them the quicker your cache may be approved.

After you hide your cache, keep an eye on what people are logging after they find it. They'll usually tell you if the log is wet or if the cache needs maintenance. It's always good to keep you cache maintained well.
