Please welcome our deployed cacher! ~braveheart814~
Although the MVCA is a small group, I thought it would be nice if we could do a little something for someone that sacrifices so much so we all have the oppertunity to live free and cache.
Please alow me to interduce to the group Braveheart814. Here is a coppy of the letter he sent me.
Dear Mark,
Thank you for the kind offer, I am grateful for the support the Geocachers back in the US have offered to me.
The cut submarine fiber optic cable in the Mediterranean has limited our none .mil web traffic resulting in my delay in replying.
I have been fortunate to serve my country in the combat zone and I believe we are making a difference for the future of the citizens of Afghanistan, currently where I am deployed.
My VA National Guard unit got to Kuwait in September. We are here staffing the Army's Regional Computer Emergency Response Team. You can read between the lines what I am dealing with if read this article:

A caching care package would be most welcome here. What I need the most is rare earth magnets pulled from scrape hard drives and epoxy. If you can find a sort of epoxy that comes in a small one time use package would be least wasteful. The best address to send any package to is my HQ unit in Kuwait and they forward my mail to the appropriate Camp in Afghanistan as I move around the country assisting those camps with my specialty.
Please give my best regards and appreciation to the members of MVCA.
Sincerely

I have access to a rather large pool of failed hard drives here at work so I could supply some magnets.
